Alisa Mullen is the author of the Best Selling Saga, The Chosen Series and the Best Selling psychological suspense novel, Plastic Confidence. She grew up in Down East Maine. Mullen has a BA from Texas A&M University and a MS from Our Lady of Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys reading, making necklaces, and spending time with her family. Mullen lives in South Texas with her loving husband and their two children.
For Zoey Odell, the definition of family is her two best friends, Maya and Addy. So when Maya makes the decision to leave her abusive husband, Zoey is only too happy to lavish her with support and a temporary home. Unfortunately, taking in her best friend also means seeing more of that no good do-gooder, Kellen Bradley.
For Kellen, the definition of family has just been shattered. After finding out that his brother is an abusive monster, he can’t help but question himself and his parents. The one thing he knows for certain is that he’ll do anything to take care of his sister-in-law and her children. For them, he would walk into gunfire, pass through the flames of hell…even go head-to-head with Zoey Odell.
Zoey has no intention of letting him in, but Kellen is done taking her crap. Life has just gotten real and he’s more than ready to shed his nice-guy image. When he finally stands up to her, Zoey starts seeing him in a new light. As the attraction turns mutual, she finds it more and more difficult to hide behind her carefully formed walls. And Kellen is finding himself more and more driven to tear those walls down.
Carter Ashby is a hardworking housewife and homeschool mother by day, and a romance reader and writer by night. She lives in rural Missouri with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
She shoved the bag of salt into his chest. “Salt my driveway. It’s supposed to snow tonight. And after that, run down to the bakery and get some donuts for us. We’re dying for donuts.”
She turned to go. Holding the salt with one arm, he reached out and grabbed her by the elbow. She spun and glared at him. He shoved the salt back into her arms. “Say please,” he commanded, because damn it, if he was going to be stuck with her, she was going to learn some basic manners.
He couldn’t tell whether she was offended or amused. “I beg your pardon?” she said, accompanied by an incredulous laugh.
“You heard me. Ask me nicely.” He closed the distance between them and towered over her, fully intending to stare her down, if necessary. No more of this being pushed around business. No, he was going to stand his ground.
Except that wisps of her hair brushed against the cream-colored curves of her jaw and neck and his throat suddenly got tight. He reached up, without even thinking, and pushed the hair aside, letting his knuckles graze her skin.
“It’s not a request,” she said, though she sounded a little less forceful. “It’s my terms. If you wanna be here, you gotta help out.”
“I’m here, Zoey, and I’m not going anywhere. I’m happy to help out. But you have to say please.”
Her eyes locked on his, and he nearly buckled. But he knew she wouldn’t respect the weakness. So he held on until, at last, her lips began to turn up in a smile. “Salt the damn driveway.”
He arched a brow and folded his arms over his chest.
Something changed in her eyes. She sat the salt on the floor and then got in his space. Completely in his space. Her breasts brushed against his crossed arms. She grabbed him by the crotch and then licked his neck. She nipped at his earlobe and whispered, “Salt the driveway, Kellen. Now.”
With a squeeze of his balls, she backed away, flashed him a grin, and disappeared inside. Time paused while Kellen stood there, brain-dead, his arms fallen at his sides, gaping at the space in front of him.
Book: I Belong To You
Author: Lisa Renee Jones
Series: Inside Out
Publication Date: November 18, 2014
Being that person, that man is how I define myself, how I allow the rest of the world to define me as well. And now, with a terrible loss shredding me inside out and someone trying to destroy my family to punish me, control is more important than ever. It is everything. It is what I need. It is all I need. Or maybe I just need…her.
Thanks to the author I was allowed to read an ARC of this book. I love this series and this book was no different. In fact, I could not put it down and read it all in one day. This storyline is intense that every single page is riveting. In this book, we get answers and insight to both Mark and Crystal
I have said many times over that I did not care for Mark early in this series. As the story progressed and we learned more about him, I grew to “like” him a little more each book. After this book, I can safely say that I love Mark Compton! His character is so deep and intense. Everything is clear now on how he became “The Master”.
I loved Crystal’s character from the first time she entered the series. She has always struck me as the perfect companion for Mark with her personality. It was very interesting to learn more of her story so that we could see inside her. It was heartwarming to see her relationship not only with her family but with Mark’s family too. In addition, Mark’s mom is a priceless character. I loved her in this book!
This is a huge five-star read! Lisa Renee Jones knows how to tell a story! I can’t believe this series is nearing an end. These characters have worked their way into my heart and feel like family! If you haven’t read this series, start now! It is definitely worth it!

Lowdown and Lush
Mike Owens is the devil. Sexy, snarky, and as lowdown as they come, he’s one of the world’s greatest guitarists and one of Portland’s most notorious bad boys.
Jenny Turner is an angel. A preacher’s daughter, she’s a good girl with a great voice and a dream to hit it big in country music.
When these two opposites meet, the attraction is undeniable, but something’s stopping the bad boy from pursuing what he desires most. Can this angel handle the truth behind her devil? Or will his secrets be too Lowdown and Lush?
“Sunshine.” His deep voice rumbles through me and I moan. “It’s time to wake up.”
I feel his thumb brush across my bottom lip and I open to him, taking him into my mouth. I run my tongue across the fleshy pad, which tastes salty and faintly metallic from the guitar strings he’s been strumming.
I hear his intake of breath before he says, “Jesus.” His palm cups my cheek and then he’s leaning down. His scruff brushes against my face as I hear him rasp out, “You’re so fucking beautiful.”
Somewhere in another part of my mind, I know this isn’t real, somehow shouldn’t be happening, but right now, I don’t care. I keep my eyes closed because I don’t want to discover that it’s all a dream. I reach for him, letting my hands travel the length of his corded forearms, then up past his bulging biceps and around his broad shoulders.
His breath is coming hard and fast, and I turn my head, trading his thumb against me for his mouth. His lips are hot and slick, and I can taste the Coke he was drinking earlier on them.
“More,” I gasp out as he squeezes my thigh.
His lips float across mine, and before I know it, his hand has dug into my hair and his tongue is in my mouth. I press my leg against his hip that’s resting next to me on the sofa. I still haven’t opened my eyes, too afraid to see that look again—the look he gave me the night he took my virginity.
But I feel him. On my skin, around my heart, inside my soul. I feel his breath and his touch and his heartbeat. I feel his anguish and his pent-up frustrations, and I feel his fear. Then it’s all burned away by the desire, the raw, animal desire, that courses through both of us. His kiss is searing, setting my whole core on fire. It’s primal, the way he makes me feel, and as his hand moves around to stroke the petal-soft skin on the inside of my thigh, I move against him with a moan that sounds desperate and wild.
I arch into him as much as I can, and he drives his tongue into my mouth in a frenzy, licking, sucking, moaning into me.
